Holiday Wishes

I made this card a few weeks ago when I was hangin' with Marisa and Janie. I know I am slacking and have just gotten around to posting it. My favorite thing about this card is all the fabulous patterned papers and the non-traditional Christmas colors. Janie used my card as layout to create this card; I just love what she did with my template. You also have to check out some cool tags Marisa made here.

An A Muse Christmas & a Toot

If you know me, you know I love puns. Once I saw the Peace and Cheer set I knew I had to create something with the bird and Season's Tweeting sentiment. I colored the little birdie with Copics and added some Flower Soft on the branch and his hat.

Here is a close-up so you can see the Flower soft, which has a little glimmer to it, and the polkadots I created on the scarf and hat.

And for the toot....I am also super excited to tell you that I made the Fab 5 at 2 Sketches 4 You for this card. Yeah!!

Adventure

My friend's mom is being forced into retirement after 25 years. She is not sure what she is going to do and says maybe travel the world. This will be a change for her and of course she is upset at being forced to retire. I decided to cheer her up a little and make her a fun, light-hearted card using the latest 2S4Y sketch. I pulled out my new MME Love Me Do paper line and matching Copics. Once I put it together I added stitching around the entire.

Before I complete the one word questionaire I thought I say I am sorry for being away. Sometimes life gets busy. I created some fun Christmas cards with Marisa and Janie prior to Thanksgiving and will start to post those tomorrow. I also want to say Happy Holiday...I am getting so excited, especially since when I looked out the glass door at work today it looked like someone shook a snow globe! I love Christmas and all the lovely things that go with it: cookies, family, decorating the house, a fresh Christmas Tree, snow, lights on homes, and the decorations on Main Street.
