Deer 2S4Y #57

I love the sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You (see below).  Another Design Team spot is up for grabs to the owner of the winning card.  I would love to be on their DT, so I am throwing my hat in the ring again this week!  This sketch was super easy to work with, and if I have time this weekend I think I will have to play again.  I also couldn't resist submitting this card over at the Moxie Fab blog for the Stretch Your Style Challenge, Fun & Cute.

 I made this card by adding some American Crafts rub-ons on white paper and cut them out. I popped them up using foam dimensionals on top of the hillside scene.  I stitched around the outside to frame it a little bit.  I was going to add a sentiment, but it seemed just right the way it was.

There is a new sketch up at 2 Sketches 4 You and guess what, the winner will get the ultimate prize...a spot on the Design Team.  I would love, love, love that prize.  I took Laura's fabby sketch and flipped it and stretched it to a 3.25 x 6 inch card.  I used the Joyride product line from Cosmo - I have been in such a Cosmo Cricket Mood lately :)  Not too much else to say about this card.  It is just my style - Clean and Quirky.  Speaking of Clean and Quirky, I am also submitting this card for the Card Style Week Challenge, Fun and Cute over at the Moxie Fab World blog.  I think this card is whimsy - I love that camera!

Ready Set Recline

I love the Tuesday Trigger over on the Moxie Fab Blog this week; it is Mapping Color.  I love the different thickness of the striped fabric and how the stripes of the strips of fabric next to each other don't line up.  I mimicked the look by cutting different widths striped paper from Joy Ride by Cosmo Cricket.  I love this collection and what was even more fun it was free. I won it from the Three Cheers for Chairs Challenge (Thanks, Cath!).   The lamp shade was paper pieced using a bit of polka dot that was a swatch on the packaging, since it was just the right size.

I combined two inspirations together by using this sketch from 2 Sketches for you.  I will be off the grid for a few day on vaca, but I will schedule a post or two.  I can't wait for a little R&R!  Have a great week/weekend.

Adventure

My friend's mom is being forced into retirement after 25 years. She is not sure what she is going to do and says maybe travel the world. This will be a change for her and of course she is upset at being forced to retire. I decided to cheer her up a little and make her a fun, light-hearted card using the latest 2S4Y sketch. I pulled out my new MME Love Me Do paper line and matching Copics. Once I put it together I added stitching around the entire.

Blingy Little Lady

I used the most recent sketch from 2 sketches 4 you HERE to create this fun B-day card for a gal at work. She loves ladybugs and has a bright personality (just one of those people you love being around). I couldn't think of a more fitting card for her than a blingy lady combined with fun, bright patterned paper. I can't take credit for the lady bug punch; my friend Randee posted THIS on her blog. I decided to turn the little lady red and add quite a bit of bling (that is for you Nicole).
