Beautiful Day

A Muse is having a Taking off Some Layers!!! challenge over in their lounge, and of course I had to participate. This was a challenge, only one layer, even my CAS cards have a little something popped up. I used the same small blue gingham print on this card as the prego cards in the previous post. I embossed the Bursting Blooms in White. The sentiment was one long sentence, so I used a marker to ink up half of the image at a time. This way the sentiment was 2 lines and would fit on my odd sized card (5.5 x 3.25 inches). This was a quick and easy card - maybe 5 minutes! I love how it turned out.

Supplies:
Paper:
Gingham Patterned Paper (A Muse)
Ink: Versamark Ink (Tsukineko)
Stamps: Bursting Blooms and Sentiment (A Muse)
Extras: White Embossing Powder (Stampendous); Bling (Kaiser); Basic Black Marker (SU!); Corner Rounder (Corner Chomper)

A Brief Note

This is shockingly my second post for today, so don't forget to scroll down. I have so many cards to share because I just had a creative day with Katie, plus I still have cards to share from my creative weekend with Janie and Marisa, and there are so many excellent challenges going on. Be on the look out for quite a few postings from me in the next couples weeks.

I create this card using 2 stamps I bought this summer while I was in Seattle and hadn't inked yet. Yes, I visited the A Muse store. It was fabulous...so fabulous I included a couple photos of the shop. They were very friendly and helpful, and next time I am there I will definitely stop at the shop. I made the brief note card for the color challenge going on in the A Muse Lounge by using Papaya, Sky Blue, and Orange Crush.

Supplies:
Paper:
Kraft cardstock (SU!); Solar White (Neenah); Bitty Box PP (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Stamps: Image and Sentiment (A Muse)
Extras: Copics, Stitching (Katie's uber-fab sewing machine); Zig Marker

An A Muse Christmas & a Toot

If you know me, you know I love puns. Once I saw the Peace and Cheer set I knew I had to create something with the bird and Season's Tweeting sentiment. I colored the little birdie with Copics and added some Flower Soft on the branch and his hat.

Here is a close-up so you can see the Flower soft, which has a little glimmer to it, and the polkadots I created on the scarf and hat.

And for the toot....I am also super excited to tell you that I made the Fab 5 at 2 Sketches 4 You for this card. Yeah!!

Supplies:
Paper:
Kitchen Blue Pattern Paper (A Muse); Red Cardstock (Archiver's); Solar White Cardstock (Neenah)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Stamps: Peach & Cheer (A Muse)
Extras: Hibiscus Burst Ribbon (PTI); Striped Ribbon (American Crafts); Sm and Lg Oval Dies (Nestabilties); Button (SU!); Embroidery Floss

Got Margaritas?

I decided to give the A Muse Stamp Simply challenge another go. I think my Bunch of Berries card may not have been simple enough. This is my second try at the challenge. I only have one layer and no embelishments, which is unheard of for me. I usually at least need ribbon. I love this card (if I do say so myself); it is very simple and clean, yet colorful; you know how I love my color.

The Copics

Supplies (4.25 x 4.25 inch):
Paper: White Cardstock (Neenah)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento)
Stamps: A Muse
Extras: Copics. White Lace Stickles (Ranger Ink)

Bunch of Berries

I am participating in the A Muse monthly challenge. The challenge was to create a card meeting the following criteria.

-use A Muse and/or Saltbox Studio stamps
-use minimal embellishments (one or none!!)
-use minimal layers (no more than 3!!)

This is my first A Muse challenge and was so much fun! I love their stamps and will definitly be doing this agin. I was done with my card including design in 35 minutes, and for those of you who know me this is uber-fast. I am kind of a poky card maker. The strawberry heap was created by masking the berry. This took no time at all, since I already had a few masks made. Once I a mask for a stamp I keep them attached to that stamp; this way I don't have to keep re-making them. I used minimal Copics in order to keep it simple. Sponging was also super easy, because I used the Nestability die to create the edge of the oval I had already cut and embossed.

The Copics

Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Baja Breeze (SU!)
